TL;DR? – digital (web) euthanasia

Censorship and the deletion of data from the web happens.

It reflects facets of mankind.

It manifests itself in different guises and has its own terminology.

For example – “deplatforming”.

When applied to the human species – it’s sometimes referred to as “euthanasia”.

In the web part of the digital ecosystem the everyday erasure of data means it is no longer “seen”.

It may be considered “dead”.

Although fragments of the digital footprint may be forensically recovered.

In May 2023 such actions were actions decided by human beings.

There appeared to be no contemporary word to describe this.

So the polyonom vuethanasia came into being.

Along with the term for deleting ones own data – “voluntary vuethanasia“.
